Turm Kaffee Guatemala Huehuetenango el Limonar

This specialty coffee comes from the Finca El Limonar in the highlands of Huehuetenango. The farm is located outside the village of La Libertad, about 50 km from the Mexican border, in the northwest of Guatemala. The owner, Dona Rosa Maria Ovalle, oversees her 140-hectare farm on the steep slopes of the Pena Blanca mountain along with her son. The Finca El Limonar has been in the family since 1955. The farm primarily grows Arabica varieties of Bourbon, Typica, and Caturra. The coffee is cultivated on steep slopes at an altitude of up to 1,900 meters above sea level. The name "El Limonar" comes from the lime trees that are planted on the farm as shade trees. The coffee presents dark cherry notes, elegantly and balanced with a hint of amaretto and caramelized toffee, paired with chocolate and lime. Rich and creamy, it offers a complexity of fullness and flavors that leave a buttery and long-lasting mouthfeel in the sweet finish.
