Tosone Nero d'Avola

Tosone is a lush, full-bodied red wine with an intense berry bouquet, complemented by hints of plum and vanilla. On the palate, there is a slight initial sweetness, and the incredibly concentrated fruit is supported by an elegant, round, and soft structure. It is an extremely balanced, well-concentrated wine, whose beautifully soft tannins round off the interesting variety of aromas. A perfect companion for typical Italian dishes such as risotto, roasted meats, hard cheeses, and Sicilian pastries. This is not the work of just any single grumpy winemaker producing wines haphazardly. Here, the winemakers contribute their most valuable, carefully selected grapes. A whole team of top-notch oenologists is working to extract the most extraordinary and interesting wines from the terroir, climate, and vines. The soils are continuously analyzed. Each vineyard has a small meteorological center that stores a range of climatic data and transmits it online to the cellar for evaluation. These methods are quite unexpected in Sicily and would be considered rather unusual in other wine regions of the world. Sicily lies at the tip of the Italian boot; its geography and climate, with mountainous terrain and poor soils, intense summer heat, and little rainfall, predispose the island for viticulture that knows how to take advantage of its natural benefits: slopes in excellent orientations, plenty of sunlight, favorable altitudes, significant temperature differences between day and night, as well as a whole range of characterful indigenous grape varieties.
