Product details

Dark purple with a rich centre. Brilliant bouquet. Above all, quite different from what I would have expected. Herbal start, candy notes, black chocolate, vanilla bean, Arabica coffee beans. Intense and mysterious at the same time. Somehow one has the feeling that it has not yet fully explored its reserves nasally. Literally "a mouthful of wine" on the palate. Lush, creamy, rich, but certainly not fat or even ponderous. The longer you have the wine on the palate, the more the tannins grab hold. There is a lot of "tannic material". More on the tongue as in the general astringency. So this presence makes the flow even more mealy and the concentrated finish dry. Quo vadis Millenium? This is the question for the palate. Those who are looking for the otherwise fundamentally innate Termpanillo sweetness in this undoubtedly great wine should turn to other wines from the Ribera del Duero. Perhaps even other editions from Pesquera. Out of curiosity, I saved a small amount, stored it in the fridge overnight. And tasted it again the next day. The power of the tannins was still noticeable, but with much better integration. In other words, you have to wait a few more years for this Millenium. Or decant it the day before and keep it in a cool place before bringing it to the necessary drinking temperature of about 16 degrees. It is currently still available on the market and can be found for around 100 francs. 18/20 drink.
