Birch sugar (xylitol) is produced in Finland and is obtained from birch and beech wood. One grammes of xylitol has the same sweetening power as one gramme of conventional sugar. Gentle on teeth; Same sweetening power as sugar; Gluten-free; Suitable for diabetics; For cooking and baking; For sweetening drinks and food; 100% GMO-free; Birch sugar from 100% European hardwood; No ingredients from corn; No raw materials from China. Vegan. Produced without pesticides. Important: During the acclimatisation phase of 4-5 weeks, birch sugar can have a slight laxative effect. It is not suitable for the preparation of yeast dough. Protect from heat and moisture. Caution with pets. In some animal species (e.g. dogs, cattle, goats, rabbits), xylitol causes a strong release of insulin, which can lead to a life-threatening drop in blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia). Therefore always keep xylitol away from animals. This packaging is biodegradable.
