Product details

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is only produced in extraordinary years. It is made exclusively from first-pressed wines sourced from the great crus of the Côte des Blancs, which is planted with Chardonnay vines. The grapes are hand-picked with the utmost care and brought to nearby pressing houses. For the Comtes de Champagne, only the first pressing, known as the Cuvée, is used. 5% of the Chardonnay is aged for 4 months in French oak, and the entire batch undergoes malolactic fermentation. The Comtes de Champagne has at least 5 years to develop its full size and character before it is disgorged.

The icon of Taittinger! This vintage is only at the very beginning of its capabilities and shows only a fraction of its potential. Light gold colour. Luscious with gourmet notes of gingerbread, liquorice and meringue. Wonderful minerality, accompanied by flavours of vineyard peach and tangerine peel and rounded off with sweet spicy notes of aniseed. Simply breathtaking!
