Product details

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is only produced in extraordinary years. It consists exclusively of first-pressed wines sourced from the great crus of the Côte des Blancs, which is planted with Chardonnay vines. The grapes are hand-picked with the utmost care and brought to nearby pressing houses. For the Comtes de Champagne, only the first pressing, known as the "Cuvée," is used. 5% of the Chardonnay was aged for 4 months in French oak, and the entire batch underwent malolactic fermentation. For at least 5 years, the Comtes de Champagne has ample time to develop its full size and character before it is disgorged.

Ingredients and instructions for use

Instructions for use
This champagne presents itself with an impressive variety of flavours. Notes of crushed almonds, chalk, white grapefruit, digestive biscuits, lemons and apricot kernels spread out in the glass. A hint of fennel and white pepper lends it additional sophistication. Its depth and minerality give it a powerful presence, while the perlage is incredibly fine and the mouthfeel substantial. The lingering finish is a delight for the senses. This champagne is not expected to realise its full potential until 2024.
