Product details
The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is only produced in extraordinary years. It consists exclusively of first-pressed wines sourced from the great crus of the Côte des Blancs, which is planted with Chardonnay vines. The grapes are hand-picked with the utmost care and brought to nearby pressing houses. For the Comtes de Champagne, only the first pressing, known as the "Cuvée," is used. 5% of the Chardonnay was aged for 4 months in French oak, and the entire batch underwent malolactic fermentation. For at least 5 years, the Comtes de Champagne has ample time to develop its full size and character before it is disgorged.

Instructions for use | This champagne presents itself with an impressive variety of flavours. Notes of crushed almonds, chalk, white grapefruit, digestive biscuits, lemons and apricot kernels spread out in the glass. A hint of fennel and white pepper lends it additional sophistication. Its depth and minerality give it a powerful presence, while the perlage is incredibly fine and the mouthfeel substantial. The lingering finish is a delight for the senses. This champagne is not expected to realise its full potential until 2024. |
