Silentium was given ample time to reach perfect maturity: the wine rested for a long time in barriques in a quiet cellar, allowing it to fully develop its strength undisturbed. Enjoy it with a nice meal or simply on its own! Southern Italy's Apulia is one of the country's most productive wine regions. Stretching over 400 kilometers from the spur of the boot near Foggia to the tip of the heel behind Lecce, Apulia boasts the highest number of grape varieties in southern Italy, around 80 percent of which are red. The Mediterranean climate and calcareous subsoils with iron oxide-rich layers above create perfect conditions for viticulture. In the dry, hot summers, the grapes ripen optimally, resulting in deep, earthy, and full-bodied wines. Unlike other southern regions, there are hardly any mountains here; the landscape mainly consists of plateaus and flatlands.
