Bringing a piece of Barcelona into a bottle: This was the idea of a group of passionate entrepreneurs in early 2019. Thus, two very special wines were born – the Rosé BORN Barcelona BIO and the sparkling wine Rosé BORN Brut Barcelona. With this, they joined the rosé revolution that has spread from Provence to the USA, the UK, and Scandinavia in recent years. Now, the focus is firmly on Switzerland: BORN Rosé aims to become the rosé brand that elevates the category of rosé wines to even greater heights. Catalonia is a renowned region in the northeast of Spain. The Catalans are the driving force and the greatest innovators in Spanish viticulture. They were the first to produce sparkling wine using the Champagne method in Penedès – Cava still plays a significant role here today. In this vast wine region, one can find all the microclimates imaginable for viticulture. Along the coast, the sea provides freshness and humidity, while the inland areas are drier and hotter. Additionally, mountain ranges with their hill chains and steep slopes create many exceptional terroirs, particularly on limestone and clay soils. These natural conditions, combined with the inventive spirit of the local winemakers, result in a wealth of outstanding wines.
