It actually makes more sense in Switzerland than anywhere else. It’s a water softener, and water in most of the Swiss cantons is very hard, causing dry and itchy skin. So no, it’s not ridiculous.
Are the replacement filters also available to buy individually?
Or only as a set with metal housing?

Unfortunately, we only offer the ALVA Skin&Hair, Lime, Life and Life-EM filters individually.

I think one is specifically for skin and hair and the other for lime in general? I'm no longer quite sure. Had the PRoduct in operation many years ago.

The filter cartridges for this product typically need to be replaced every 6 months, depending on water quality and usage. If you notice a reduction in water flow or other changes, it may be necessary to replace the cartridge sooner.

Yes, this filter filters limescale and is compatible with this product.
We have had it for a couple of days. Not 100% sure that it will stop the need to clean calc entirely although this is why we bought it… we have two sets, after two showers each (yesterday and today) it seems softer. But tricky to be sure it isn’t placebo
