It was in the year 1423 when Charles the Third bequeathed the principality of Viana to his grandson Charles of Evreux.

Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, cherries, plums, wild strawberries, and blueberries. An elegant woody note. A fine hint of vanilla and coconut. Round and well-structured on the palate. The finish reveals lasting fruit flavors.

Vinification / Aging
The grapes come from three different vineyards. The idea is to combine three different grape varieties from three different locations while preserving the spirit of their origin and uniqueness. The young wine is aged in 225-liter oak barrels for 14 months, with 75% French oak and 25% American oak. It is further aged in bottles for 10 months.

Colour: Iridescent ruby with a bright violet shimmer, colour-dense. Aroma: Expansive, ripe fruity notes, warm roasted flavours, seductive spice, an earthy hint of undergrowth and moss provides a beautiful counterpoint. Body: Long, pleasant attack, powerful body, fine-grained tannins, still present acidity, long finish with persistent flavours. Quality: Delicious, fruity and very harmonious.
