Product details
Innovation, quality, and versatility are the principles of Real Sitio de Ventosilla. In addition to various other agricultural activities, the estate has also specialized in viticulture. For a long time, the grapes were sold to Pesquera and Protos, until the rise of Ribera del Duero prompted the estate owner to rethink their approach. In 1996, the first Prado Rey wine was produced. The best plots, which had previously been planted with grains, were replanted with young vines. Today, 520 hectares of the estate are planted with vines. The eight vineyards, some of which are located directly by the Douro River, benefit from different terroirs. The oenologist Francisco Martin San Juan enjoys creative freedom in the modern winery. Highly awarded wines are the result of his pioneering spirit, perseverance, and passion for wine.
