Instructions for use | The champagne is pale gold in colour with delicate golden nuances and a fine perlage. The first nose is remarkably elegant: discreet and very fresh. The notes are floral and sweet, reminiscent of honeysuckle and acacia blossom. As the wine opens up, it reveals more fruity nuances of dried figs and frangipani. The Pinot Noir asserts itself after a few seconds with flavours of violets and blueberries. Very straightforward on the palate with an exceptional minerality. The velvety, mineral structure of the wine is reminiscent of the chalky soils of Champagne. The balance is perfect. Notes of lime blossom and sliced almonds mingle with the fig aromas detected on the nose. Signs of great maturity after more than twelve years of ageing in the cellar give this cuvée nuances of toast and complexity. There is a hint of pink grapefruit on the finish. |
