The Merlot Riserva "Georg" thrives at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level, below the ruins of Leuchtenburg, on porphyry rock and moraine debris deposits on warm western slopes. This unique location with its deep soil allows for the production of a complex, robust Merlot with excellent aging potential. The Merlot, made from hand-picked grapes, offers a complex bouquet on the nose, reminiscent of blueberry compote, white pepper, rose petals, and festive spices. A hint of sweet vanilla-cherry tobacco lingers. On the palate, this South Tyrolean Merlot provides great drinking pleasure with its velvety, elegant character and charming fruit sweetness. Fine-grained tannins, precise fruit, richness, and harmony define this Riserva.
