Like a large part of the world's harvest, Nectaflor hazelnuts also come from the Turkish Black Sea coast, which is also known as the "Hazelnut Coast." Thanks to the mild and balanced climate, they thrive particularly well there. Mostly harvested by hand, the hazelnuts are collected in late summer and sun-dried. Just before transport to Switzerland, they are cracked and sorted. To ensure optimal freshness, the premium hazelnuts are finely ground only right before packaging in Biel.
