Naturata Instant chicory coffee

When selecting our ingredients, we attach great importance to the highest quality, which is why the chicory comes from Europe and is grown according to controlled organic standards.

Preparation:
Pour 200 ml of hot water over 1-2 teaspoons (approx. 2.5 g) per cup. Stir briefly - ready. For extra enjoyment, use a hot herbal drink instead of water.

Tip:
You can enjoy chicory coffee not only as a hot drink or iced coffee. It also adds a sophisticated flavour to desserts and numerous other dishes.

Production:
Chicory coffee has always been lovingly produced in a small Swiss company with a long tradition. Careful production results in the typical velvety and aromatic flavour. Before roasting, the chicory roots are crushed and dried. They are then gently roasted. The experience of the master roaster plays a decisive role here: roasting must not be too long, but also not too short.

The chicory is then coarsely chopped. Extraction takes place by gently flooding the ingredients with hot water in a counter-current process that produces the coffee extract. This raw mass with a dry matter content of 25% is sprayed as a fine mist from the top of a spray tower several metres high. The droplets fall through a stream of hot air, which removes the liquid content. What arrives at the bottom is already the dry instant powder. This spray-drying process gives the coffee its fine crema. No additives are used.
