The macadamia nut is the fruit of the macadamia tree, which is native to Australia. It was discovered in 1857 and cultivated by botanist John Macadam, after whom it was named in his honor. With a nutty flavor and a hint of vanilla, it is reminiscent of pralines. It is ideal for coffee or baking, and also suitable for milkshakes.
