Miradent Xylitol

Miradent xylitol chewing gum with its cleansing and plaque-inhibiting effect reduces the development of caries in the long term, especially after eating. Xylitol forms complexes of calcium and saliva proteins in the oral cavity, which lead to a remineralisation of the hard tooth substance. With sufficient xylitol intake, no new plaque forms on the teeth. This prevents the development of caries, loosens and removes existing plaque. Xylitol creates a cooling effect on the tongue, similar to the refreshing taste of menthol. Xylitol cannot be used by the bacteria in the oral cavity, so it does not have a caries-producing effect.
