Miradent Xylitol

Miradent Xylitol gum sustainably reduces the formation of cavities with its cleansing and plaque-inhibiting effect, especially after meals. Xylitol forms complexes with calcium and salivary proteins in the oral cavity, leading to the remineralization of tooth hard tissue. With sufficient xylitol intake, no new plaque forms on the teeth. Thus, the development of cavities is prevented, and existing dental deposits are dissolved and removed. Xylitol creates a cooling effect on the tongue, similar to the refreshing taste of menthol. Bacteria in the oral cavity cannot utilize xylitol, which means it has no cavity-causing effect.
