Marzipan can be used not only to create delicious pastries but also to shape amazing figures, flowers, and other decorations. Cake coverings are also often made with marzipan, as it has a delightful almond flavor, unlike fondant, making it a perfect match for a fine cake. Any unused scraps can easily be kneaded back together, sealed in an airtight container, and saved for the next creation. If the marzipan becomes too sticky, a little baker's starch or powdered sugar can help. If you shape small figures or marzipan fruits, you can enjoy them right away, use them as decoration for a cake or a particularly fancy cupcake, or let them dry a bit and give them as gifts.
