The 100% Arabica Chiaroscuro blend is a composition of high-quality varieties made exclusively from hand-picked Arabica coffee beans sourced from various growing regions. The typical vanilla aromas from Honduras, the full-bodied flavor of Brazilian Santos, and the spiciness of Ethiopian Heirloom harmonize perfectly together. These coffee varieties are roasted separately, slowly, and gently in a rotating drum before being blended. This process allows each variety to achieve its own optimal roasting profile. The blend is perfected by the slow and individual roasting of each variety in the drum for between 15 and 18 minutes. The result is a mild coffee with low acidity and caffeine, suitable for both espresso machines and fully automatic coffee makers. Chiaroscuro envelops the taste buds with a velvety and smooth texture, lingering long after the last sip. The Mokaflor coffee roastery has been operating in the heart of Florence since the 1950s and has been run by the Bernini family for several generations. This beautiful tradition ensures continuity in the roasting craft and the passing down of coffee knowledge through generations. Mokaflor roasts using a drum roaster, which heats the coffee slowly and gradually, allowing its aroma to develop optimally. After blending the coffee beans, the coffee is placed in degassing silos, where it rests for about 10 days to release gas. Before packaging, the blends are tested with a professional espresso machine.
