Product details

Fresh, fruity, light, and with a lovely sweetness on the palate, this bright yellow, sparkling white wine presents itself beautifully. Its bouquet is quite intense, showcasing aromas of quince, peach, citrus fruits, a hint of pineapple, and muscat. The structure is soft, full, and harmonious. On the palate, alongside the fruity notes, there is a touch of mint and a hint of vanilla. A fantastic aperitif wine that pairs well with vegetables, Asian dishes, and poultry.

The Schaffhausen wine dynasty Schachenmann produces nationally and internationally awarded wines from grapes cultivated by 160 vineyards in the Blauburgunderland at the former GVS winery, founded in 1934. For economic reasons, the GVS winery and Schachenmann joined forces in 1998, combining their strengths. Since then, the winery has operated as GVS Schachenmann, delighting wine connoisseurs with traditional wines and innovative ideas.

In the vinification process, the winery utilizes a variety of technical possibilities to fully express the qualities of the grape material and the soil on which it grows. The Schaffhausen Klettgau, with its center in Hallau, comprises the largest part of the cantonal vineyard area, characterized by deep, clay-rich soils. The shallow, calcareous Oberklettgau spans 40 hectares, with the Eisenhalde Siblingen, a foothill of the Swabian Jura, recognized as the best vineyard in Schaffhausen. The remaining 500 hectares are divided among Reiat, Stein am Rhein, and Rüdlingen/Buchberg. In Schaffhausen, as in almost all of German-speaking Switzerland, Pinot Noir and Riesling Sylvaner dominate.
