Out of respect for family tradition, the grapes are harvested during the November transition, giving this Johannisberg a very pleasant fullness and its unmistakable character. Concentrated aromas unfold in a rich and generous manner, reflecting the slate-rich origin of the grapes. Very ripe grape berries; pear, hazelnuts, and almonds. Full-bodied, robust, with a slightly bitter finish. Ideal as an aperitif, with fish in sauce, shellfish, asparagus, and hard cheese.
