Product details
A secret from South Africa that shimmers in the cup in dark gold. The sweet taste is reminiscent of bee nectar and closely resembles its "big brother" Rooibos. The Honeybush, whose golden flowers are swarmed by bees, likely owes its name to this. The wild-growing Honeybush cannot be cultivated and is therefore only available in limited quantities. During the harvest season in spring, the bushes glow yellow and emit a sweet honey aroma. The harvest is done by hand every three years, primarily in the provinces of Western Cape and Eastern Cape, where it is also known as Kaptee.
