This powerful Riesling comes from one of the most valuable and characterful vineyards in Forst an der Weinstrasse, Pfalz. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, describes this wine as follows: "The 2020 Ungeheuer G.C. opens with a warm, intense, and elegant nose, concentrated and even rich, with iodine and dried porcini aromas. A bit Jura in style. Pure, fresh, and saline on the palate, this is a dense, savory, and tensioned Riesling with an almost austere but tight finish, with enough concentration and fine tannin structure for a long life. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2022.".
