Dr. Bürklin-Wolf / Fam. Bürklin Deidesheimer Kalkofen GC Riesling

The Riesling Kalkofen comes from the warm Grand Cru site in Deidesheim on the Mittelhaardt. It is grown on soil primarily composed of limestone, clay, marl, and limestone gravel. On the nose, it reveals a dense array of fruit aromas reminiscent of pineapple, lemon, and starfruit, accompanied by a delicate, smoky limestone note. On the palate, it initially presents itself charmingly, then it comes forward with great intensity and an exciting acidity. A fine salty vein weaves through the citrus aromas. A great Riesling with a refined structure and a long-lasting, aromatic finish. Tip: Decant before serving.
