Linguine are the long pasta variety par excellence. They are shaped like small, flat, and narrow tagliatelle, created to be served with traditional pesto. Thanks to their flat cross-section and slightly convex shape, they are perfect for soaking up sauces and delivering a complete flavor experience. They taste excellent simply with butter and sage or paired with sauces based on tomatoes or vegetables, as well as fresh herbs, and with quick, spicy sauces made with extra virgin olive oil, garlic, chili, anchovies, and capers. Additionally, they are ideal for fish sauces with shellfish and seafood, as well as light sauces made with cream, mascarpone, soft and melting cheeses, and seasoned with spices like saffron, horseradish, curry, and ginger.
