Product details

Château Pédesclaux manages 52 hectares of vineyards in the Pauillac appellation. The average age of the vineyard is 35 years, with the oldest vines dating back to 1950. A project to convert the vineyard to organic farming was initiated under the guidance of Manon Lorenzetti, who oversees the family's winegrowing activities. The estate is located on a plateau of deep gravel overlooking the town of Pauillac. It features a mosaic of terroirs with nineteen different soil types, 70% of which have a high gravel content. These plots also border renowned estates such as Lafite-Rothschild, Mouton-Rothschild, and Pontet-Canet. Pédesclaux uses four grape varieties: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon for the wine's structure, 34% Merlot for roundness, 4% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc for aromatic complexity.
