Château Lafleur Lafleur

The 2016 Lafleur is a blend of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot, primarily grown on gravel over clay. It displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color, and the nose gradually reveals beautiful, seductive aromas of truffles, black earth, crushed stones, and smoked meat, giving way to a lovely perfume of red roses, cherries coated in dark chocolate, Oolong tea, and lavender, with hints of cigar box and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is completely enveloped by tight, intricately woven, yet ethereal layers of earth, minerals, and perfumed black fruits, firmly supported by very fine-grained tannins and great freshness, with a very long and incredibly fragrant finish.
