Product details
Barrel sample: Very dark, deep garnet-purple. Dense, crazy bouquet with ripe blackcurrants, wonderful herbal nuances, slightly inky but also floral hints. On the palate, a distinct Cabernet Franc note adds a floral freshness to the extract, rich astringency, sprinkled with demanding, massive tannins. Spicy finish with cloves, tobacco, black pepper, and cassis, showcasing power, length, elegance, and greatness. However, it will require a lot of patience until it reaches its first drinking maturity, which will be achieved in 10, perhaps even 15 years (19/20). Tasted in April 2006 just before bottling with Jacques Guinnaudeau at the winery. Displays a concentrated, warm sweetness that features dried fruits along with a sweet banana touch, dark roasted nuts, and milk coffee. Firm palate, a brilliant extract with an enormous amount of aroma, dancing between berries and terroir. It has kept all its promises and will evolve into a truly great, classic Lafleur. Wait (2015 - 2040).
