The grapes come from old San Román vineyards, where the Tinta de Toro is very aromatic due to the peculiarities of the soil and at the same time balanced tannins. 2018 is the fourth vintage of this great success story of Javier Rodríguez! The nose presents itself as usual massive and highly aromatic with lots of black fruit of cherry and cassis. The abundance of spicy herbs combines beautifully with the delicate toasty aromas. The wood is perfectly integrated into the sensual, harmonious aromatics. Powerful attack on the palate with concentrated black fruit. The freshness gives it the ideal balance and increases the drinking pleasure noticeably! All this is a fascinating, almost endless firework. But then that wonderful spice comes out again and combines with the noble roasted flavours of chocolate and vanilla. What length on the finish!
