Bodegas Alto Moncayo Veraton Campo de Borja DO

Dense ruby red with purple reflections. The wines from Alto Moncaya are now among the best Garnacha wines in the world. Veraton comes from younger vines, up to 50 years old. These grow on calcareous soils, tinged reddish due to the clay and iron content, at the foot of the Moncayo mountain. The nose of Veraton reveals a charming, clear cherry note, warmth, deep berry aromas, and perhaps a hint of violet. The wine also shows that it has been aged in oak barrels. The slight smoky note complements the abundance of aromas well. Despite its concentration, the wine displays freshness, elegance, and an incredible length.
