The Blue Moon Brewery was founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado, USA. The idea for this beer came to brewer Keith during his studies in Belgium, where he enjoyed the many Belgian Witbiers. Blue Moon is his interpretation made with only the finest ingredients and the highest quality. For example, he replaced the peel of the Valencia orange with the traditional bitter orange peel of the Curacao orange to create a subtle sweetness. He also added oats and wheat to create a smooth, creamy beer that delights the palate. The beer has a delicate spiciness, along with a perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. It brings out the fine aromas especially well when served with a slice of orange in the glass.
