Tasting Notes
Montornello is produced from Sangiovese grapes from the vineyard named Montornello, which consists of a platform with loose and medium-heavy soil. It is aged in French barrels for twelve months. Montornello has a particularly intense ruby red color with violet hues. Menthol-like and fruity notes characterize its bouquet, while on the palate it is full-bodied, smooth, and elegant with well-balanced tannins.
Vinification
Handpicked. The Chianti Classico from the Montornello vineyard ages for 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels and then 4 months in the bottle.
Culinary Recommendation
Pairs well with spinach gnocchi with sage or braised garlic chicken.
