The Segal Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon showcases wonderful notes of cassis, thyme, and oregano, accompanied by a hint of cherries and plums. This full-bodied wine has an elegant and clear finish, with firm tannins and aromas of mint, chocolate, and roasted coffee beans. The Segal Unfiltered is primarily made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with a small amount of Merlot sourced from the Dovev vineyard. This vineyard is located at an altitude of 720 meters near the Lebanese border. After pressing the grapes, the wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels. The wine was neither filtered nor fined before bottling, preserving its wild nature and original character. It can be quite challenging to resist opening a bottle of the passionately offered Segal. However, the wine reaches its peak within a few years and can remain in excellent drinking condition for some time under suitable conditions.
