Alvi’s Drift Signature Merlot

The grapes are carefully hand-harvested to ensure that only the best ripe fruits are used for production. After crushing, the grapes are transferred to fermentation tanks, where they ferment for about seven days. The juice is separated from the skins to enhance the color and flavor intensity of the wine. Before bottling, the wine matures for eight months in old French oak.

An excellent, well-aged example of this popular Bordeaux variety. The wine showcases a masterful interplay of fruit, oak, and tannin. Intense aromas of delicious ripe black fruits, such as black cherries and plums, with a hint of chocolate and various spices. On the palate, it is broad and deep with dense tannins that are well-integrated and velvety, supported by the ripe fruit that asserts itself and lingers on the palate.
