The organic chestnut honey from Alce Nero is very liquid and has a reddish colour and a hearty aroma. It is harvested from June to July, mainly in the regions of Tuscany, Piedmont, Liguria, Basilicata and Emilia-Romagna. After the honey is obtained by mechanical extraction, it is decanted and then filtered and bottled without ever undergoing thermal preservation processes. The chestnut honey is excellent for those who love an intense flavour and in combination with meat or mature cheese.
