Heida (Savagnin Blanc). According to the renowned ampelographer Pierre Galet, this white grape variety is a variant of the Traminer. In the Valais region, the famous Heida is produced from it—a wine specialty (also known as Heiden or Païen = fr. pagan). It is a very old grape variety, from which the famous "Vin Jaune" is made in the French Jura.
