Question about Medisana Bs 444

I bought the scale a few weeks ago and was quite satisfied. However, it no longer works: I stand on it for a short time, 0.00 kg appears and then a "L o" sign appears and the scale switches itself off again. I have also changed the batteries. Can anyone help me?

From the medisana homepage:
"The battery is weak and must be replaced with a new lithium button cell type CR2032.

If your bathroom scales do not work as desired despite a new battery, check the following before contacting the service centre.
- Check that you have inserted the battery correctly.
- Check that you have selected the correct weight unit.
- Check that the scale is standing freely on a firm and level surface. It must not touch a wall or other object.
- Repeat the weighing procedure, taking care not to step on the scale until the display shows "0.0 kg"."

Otherwise, if necessary, carefully clean the battery compartment and check that the contacts are in order.
