The oils and essential oils for these hand soaps are 100% organically grown or wild-collected. The coconut oil comes from a fair trade project in the Dominican Republic. Rosemary hand soap wakes you up and cheers you up. It is a nourishing, activating soap. Soap made from vegetable oils has the incomparable speciality of forming a bond with the lime that is always present in waste water immediately after use. This neutralises the surface-active effect of the soap itself (primary degradation). This primary degradation takes place within a few hours. The lime soap is then 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Ethanol returns to the natural cycle within a few hours. In addition to the natural glycerine that is released from the oils during saponification, we also use vegetable glycerine to bind the moisture in the skin. During the production process of sugar surfactant, parts of the plant-based raw materials starch, sugar and fat are removed, but their natural structure remains completely intact. It is therefore relatively easy for microorganisms to break down these surfactants quickly and completely. According to the OECD, soap and sugar surfactants are considered to be readily biodegradable. more

The organic coconut fat is sourced from small farmers in the Davao and Agusan regions of the Philippines. The coconut palms are grown in mixed cultivation on fields of a maximum of 5 hectares. The organic olive oil comes from ancient olive groves in the Mediterranean region in northern Tunisia.
