Whether as a remedy against unpleasant odours or to round off your personal fragrance: for many people, deodorant is part of their daily body care.
The difference between antiperspirant and deodorant
Although the two terms are used as synonyms, there are significant differences. An antiperspirant inhibits sweat production by causing different salts to clog the sweat glands. For a long time, aluminium was the main active ingredient, but now there are natural alternatives.
A deodorant only has an odour-inhibiting effect, but does not prevent sweat stains on clothing. The reason for the unpleasant smell of sweat is bacteria. An aluminium-free deodorant contains substances that inhibit the growth of these bacteria.
Depending on how much you sweat, either an antiperspirant or deodorant is better suited.
