All Speick products exclusively contain the valuable extract of the wild-growing, high-altitude medicinal plant Speick (lat. Valeriana celtica; certified as controlled organic wild harvesting). Speick has a calming effect on the central nervous system while simultaneously stimulating the autonomic nervous system. Speick relaxes without causing fatigue and revitalizes both body and mind. Through its roots, the alpine natural cycle supplies the Speick plant with special nutrients.

The harmonizing, balancing healing powers of Speick are released through its precious oil, which is obtained through gentle extraction of whole plants. Today, Speick is almost exclusively found in the Nockberge Biosphere Park in Carinthia, where the conditions for the plant are optimal: low-calcium, acidic soils in treeless elevations starting at about 1800 meters.

The delicate, small plant grows to a maximum height of 15 centimeters. Its flowers are pale yellow, making Speick not particularly stand out among the abundance of alpine flora. However, its characteristic scent is noticeable, especially when the leaves of the plant turn yellow around August/September.
