PureVision monthly lenses

PureVision are monthly lenses from the manufacturer Bausch & Lomb. They are made of the newly developed silicone hydrogel Balafilcon A, which, due to its low water content of only 36%, draws much less moisture from the eye than lenses with a higher water content. Drying out of the eyes is thus effectively prevented. The combination of silicone and hydrogel results in a high wearing comfort especially for people with dry eyes. Usually, the drying of the eyes is promoted by a long wearing time and, for example, in air-conditioned environments with low humidity even intensified. The special composition of the material Balafilcon A prevents dry eyes and allows comfortable wearing even over long periods. PureVision lenses are characterized by a high oxygen permeability. The eye is supplied with a natural oxygen content and the fluid transport in the eye is hardly affected by wearing the lens. A special surface treatment makes the lenses insensitive to dirt and deposits. Unlike a coating, which can wear off over time, the PureVision material itself has been treated with a special process. The outstanding surface properties of the lens are thus retained throughout the entire period of wear. The result is a unique quality of vision with high wearing comfort and naturally healthy eyes. Contact lenses from PureVision are designed for a period of use of up to 30 days.
