PureVision monthly lenses

PureVision are monthly contact lenses from the manufacturer Bausch & Lomb. They are made from the newly developed silicone hydrogel Balafilcon A, which, due to its low water content of only 36%, draws much less moisture from the eye compared to lenses with a higher water percentage. This effectively prevents dry eyes. The combination of silicone and hydrogel provides high wearing comfort, especially for people with dry eyes. Typically, dry eyes are exacerbated by prolonged wear and are further intensified in air-conditioned environments with low humidity. The special composition of the material Balafilcon A helps to prevent dry eyes and allows for comfortable wear even over extended periods. PureVision lenses are characterized by high oxygen permeability. The eye is supplied with a natural level of oxygen, and the transport of fluids in the eye is hardly affected by wearing the lens. Thanks to a special surface treatment, the lenses are resistant to dirt and deposits. Unlike a coating that can wear off over time, PureVision lenses have been treated with a special process that affects the material itself. This ensures that the outstanding surface properties of the lens are maintained throughout the entire wearing period. The result is a unique visual quality with high wearing comfort and naturally healthy eyes. PureVision contact lenses are designed for a usage period of up to 30 days.
