LIGASANO® white is a therapeutically effective PUR foam dressing with a wide range of applications. The therapeutic benefits are primarily based on three physical principles: The quickly diminishing pressure tension of LIGASANO® white reduces pressure on the wound, promotes granulation, and decreases counterpressure on the newly formed granulation tissue. The mechanical stimulus (i.e., the structure of the dressing is perceived by the tissue) enhances blood circulation and activates self-cleaning. Since only excess exudate is absorbed (controlled absorption, exudate management), LIGASANO® white does not dry out the wound. Depending on the thickness of the material, intermittent negative pressure is created.

Instructions for use
When to use? If the wound allows secretion drainage, it can be treated directly with LIGASANO® white without any pre-treatment. Fill the wound completely with LIGASANO® white. Ensure that there is contact everywhere in the wound, including the wound edges. Any pockets should also be filled. Then cover the wound with another piece of LIGASANO® white, overlapping the wound edges by at least 1-2 cm. A large sheet of LIGASANO® white is placed on top to treat the area around the wound. Dressing thickness: The dressing with LIGASANO® white must be at least 2 cm thick, measured from the wound bed, even for shallow wounds. For all other wounds, the dressing thickness must be correspondingly thicker. Rule of thumb: The larger the area of the wound surrounding treatment, the better the effect, and the fixation must always be air-permeable. Fixation knickers, tubular dressings or preferably LIGAMED®Fix are well suited. Dressing change intervals: once a day to once every three days, but at the latest when the first secretion point becomes visible on the outside of LIGASANO® white. In the case of heavily oozing wounds in the cleansing phase, this can also be several times a day.
