The warrior gene is located on the X chromosome, meaning men inherit it from their mothers. Since men have only one X chromosome, the warrior gene can exert its full effect if present. Women, on the other hand, have two X chromosomes, which means that a single warrior gene may not have a significant impact. The effects of having the warrior gene on both X chromosomes in a woman are still unknown.
