Ducray Keracnyl Cleansing Gel

Cleansing gel for acne-prone skin. Keracnyl Cleansing Gel is a highly tolerable cleansing gel specifically designed to meet the needs of impure skin. This soap-free cleansing gel with Myrtacine gently cleanses and purifies the skin with deep action. The patented plant extract Myrtacine disrupts the protective coat of acne bacteria, thereby preventing the formation of pimples. Additionally, the gentle cleansing gel contains Sabal extract, which regulates the sebum production of the sebaceous glands, helping to restore balance to the skin.

Myrtacine is a multi-active plant extract derived from the Mediterranean myrtle by Laboratoires Ducray. The plant-based ingredients of Myrtacine help the skin defend itself against bacteria such as C. acnes. C. acnes protects itself from the body's defense mechanisms by forming a protective film. Myrtacine has two effects on this protective coat: First, it destabilizes the protective film, making it more difficult for the bacteria to multiply. Second, it reduces the regeneration of the protective film, preventing new bacteria from establishing any protection at all. Furthermore, this dual attack on the protective film can enhance the effectiveness of antibiotic-containing creams and ointments applied afterward.
