Contopharm Contaview aspheric

The Contaview Aspheric UV from Contopharma are soft monthly contact lenses with an aspheric front surface and a water content of 55%. They are made from hydrogel and are particularly well-tolerated spontaneously. The low foreign body sensation facilitates adaptation and increases wearing comfort over longer periods. The design of the Contaview Aspheric UV lenses has been improved, especially optimizing the lenticular zone. As a result, the lenses are shape-stable and exhibit high inherent stability. This innovative geometry also reduces the likelihood of the contact lenses becoming soiled or damaged during handling. Additionally, the special design enhances flushing during blinking, achieving high biological compatibility. The front surface of the contact lenses is designed aspheric, which reduces a type of optical distortion known as spherical aberration that occurs with spherical lenses and can cause blurry images with reduced contrast, especially under unfavorable lighting conditions. The Contaview Aspheric UV lenses mitigate this effect, correcting not only refractive errors but also ensuring sharp and high-contrast vision even in suboptimal lighting. The lens material features an integrated UV blocker that helps protect the eye from harmful radiation. However, contact lenses with UV filters do not provide complete protection and should not be used as a substitute for safety glasses or sunglasses.
