Contaview Aspheric UV from Contopharma are soft monthly disposable lenses with an aspherical front surface and a water content of 55%. They are made of hydrogel and are particularly well tolerated. The low foreign body sensation makes familiarization easier and increases comfort over longer periods of time.
During the development of Contaview Aspheric UV, the lens design was improved, and the lenticular zone was optimized. As a result, the lenses retain their shape and are characterized by a high degree of inherent stability. This innovative geometry also reduces the likelihood of the contact lenses becoming soiled or damaged during handling. In addition, the special design improves underflushing during blinking, resulting in a high level of biocompatibility.
The front surface of the contact lenses has an aspherical design, which reduces an imaging error known as "spherical aberration." This error occurs with spherical lenses and can cause blurred images with reduced contrast, particularly in unfavorable lighting conditions. Contaview Aspheric UV reduces this effect and therefore not only corrects defective vision but also ensures sharp, high-contrast vision even in less than optimal lighting conditions.
The lens material has an integrated UV blocker, which helps protect the eye from harmful radiation. However, contact lenses with a UV filter do not provide complete protection and should not be used as a substitute for work glasses or sunglasses.
The special design gives the lenses a stable shape and makes them easy to insert and remove. The slightly bluish tint also improves handling and makes them easy to find in the cleaning solution. Contaview Aspheric UV are designed for daily wear and last for 30 days after the first use with appropriate care.
