CoaguChek Test strips

The coagulation test with CoaguChek XS PT test strips can only be performed with fresh capillary blood from the fingertip or with venous whole blood. A measurement should not be conducted if anticoagulants such as heparin, EDTA, citrate, oxalate, or other similar substances have been added to the blood. Once the blood test strip has received an adequate amount of blood, approximately 8 µl, the precise measurement of coagulation begins. This takes about 60 seconds. After that, a reliable result is obtained, which can be used for further processing.
