With hallux valgus, the big toe bends outward at the metatarsophalangeal joint. As a result, a "bunion" becomes visible on the inner edge of the foot, representing the head of the metatarsal bone. Since it is very sensitive, most affected individuals experience pressure pain when wearing shoes. The PediSoft TexLine brace realigns the joint. A ring cushion additionally protects against shoe pressure.
